As such, serves as principal advisor to the Associate Administrator for GCBD and the Administrator in the formulation and recommendation of policies, establishment of standards and procedures, direction, implementation, evaluation and improvement of these national programs.
Directs the development of policies, plans, operating procedures, and standards for effective implementation, administration and promotion of the Agency's 8(a) business development program which includes 7j (Empower to Grow - E2G) management and technical assistance, certification of new 8(a) applications and continued eligibility reviews.
Serves as the national authority and recognized expert for Agency's 8(a) business development program and small disadvantaged businesses on government contracting issues and strategies.
Represents the Agency at conferences, meetings, hearings with key stakeholders, high ranking officials of Federal, state, and local governments, and non-governmental agencies, national organizations, the small business community, the public, and media outlets.
Directs, manages, and administers Agency's 8(a) business development programs.Evaluates current and proposed regulatory programs and operations and recommends actions to initiate, modify, or discontinue projects as needed, and to achieve specific Agency goals and objectives.
