Position Summary:

We are in search of an experienced Global Supply Manager to shape and implement our supply chain strategy concerning raw materials and capital equipment. This role encompasses the leadership of comprehensive supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, and inventory oversight. You will play a pivotal role in identifying and qualifying suppliers, constructing cost models, negotiating contracts, and influencing design choices to achieve cost objectives. Additionally, you will be responsible for evaluating and integrating tools such as PLM and ERP systems to optimize our supply chain and manufacturing processes. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring efficient product delivery with favorable economic outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify suppliers for all components related to custom capital equipment and raw materials for devices.
  • Negotiate and formalize vendor agreements, including Master Supply Agreements, ensuring advantageous terms and pricing.
  • Develop cost models for devices and equipment to monitor current expenditures and identify future cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish and execute a preferred supplier strategy that enhances supply reliability, business continuity, material quality, delivery performance, and cost-effectiveness while aligning with product development and compliance needs.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to create budgets for new hardware development initiatives.
  • Oversee CapEx and NPI budgets, purchasing, and expenditure management, while devising strategies for product cost reduction, including evaluating design alternatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant export and import regulations.
  • Conduct regular supply chain risk assessments and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at mitigating risks within the supply chain.
  • Engage in new product feasibility assessments and design reviews to advocate for supply chain considerations and promote cost-effective design practices.
  • Establish processes for the planning and execution of supply chain activities, including RFPs, supplier qualification, material planning, and executive reviews.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience managing supply chains for new product introductions.
  • Proven experience leading teams of five or more individuals.
  • Familiarity with bottoms-up and should-cost modeling techniques.
  • Knowledge of CapEx budgeting and financial accounting.
  • Strong negotiation skills for supplier contracts, including supply and service agreements.
  • Ability to influence design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Experience in sourcing raw materials effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence on a global scale, showcasing excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

This is a full-time position requiring onsite presence. The compensation package includes equity and benefits.
