Position Summary:

We are in search of an experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our supply chain strategy concerning raw materials and capital equipment. This pivotal role encompasses the management of supply chain operations, sourcing, procurement, and inventory oversight. You will be tasked with identifying and qualifying suppliers, constructing cost models, negotiating contracts, and influencing design choices to achieve cost efficiency. Additionally, you will evaluate and implement essential tools such as PLM and ERP systems to optimize our supply chain and manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and qualify suppliers for all components related to custom capital equipment and raw materials.
  • Negotiate and formalize vendor agreements, including Master Supply Agreements, ensuring favorable terms and pricing.
  • Develop comprehensive cost models for devices and equipment to monitor current expenditures and identify future cost-saving opportunities.
  • Establish a preferred supplier strategy to enhance supply assurance, business continuity, material quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Finance team to create budgets for new hardware development projects.
  • Oversee CapEx and NPI budgets, purchasing, and expenditures, devising plans to reduce product costs through design option evaluations.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant export and import regulations.
  • Conduct regular supply chain risk assessments and present findings to senior leadership.
  • Lead initiatives aimed at mitigating supply chain risks.
  • Engage in new product feasibility studies and design reviews to advocate for cost-effective design decisions.
  • Establish processes for planning and executing supply chain activities, including RFPs, supplier qualification, and material planning.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • MBA preferred or equivalent professional experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience managing NPI supply chains.
  • Proven experience leading teams of five or more individuals.
  • Strong understanding of bottoms-up and should-cost models.
  • Familiarity with CapEx budgeting and accounting principles.
  • Proficient in negotiating supplier contracts, including supply and service agreements.
  • Ability to influence design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
  • Experience in sourcing raw materials effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership and influence on a global scale, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

This role is full-time and requires onsite presence.
