Position Summary:
We are in search of an experienced Global Supply Chain Manager to spearhead our supply chain initiatives for raw materials and capital equipment. This pivotal role encompasses the leadership of supply chain operations, including sourcing, procurement, and inventory oversight. You will play a crucial role in identifying and assessing suppliers, constructing cost models, negotiating contracts, and influencing product designs to align with cost objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify suppliers for all components required for custom capital equipment and raw materials.
- Negotiate and formalize vendor agreements, including Master Supply Agreements, ensuring favorable terms and pricing.
- Develop comprehensive cost models for devices and equipment to monitor current expenditures and identify future cost-saving opportunities.
- Formulate and execute a preferred supplier strategy that enhances supply reliability, continuity, quality, delivery, and cost-effectiveness while supporting product development and compliance.
- Collaborate with the Finance team to create budgets for new hardware development projects.
- Oversee CapEx and NPI budgets, purchasing, and expenditures, while devising strategies for product cost reduction through design alternatives.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant export and import regulations.
- Conduct regular supply chain risk assessments and present findings to senior leadership.
- Lead initiatives aimed at risk mitigation.
- Engage in new product feasibility studies and design reviews to advocate for supply chain considerations and cost-effective design choices.
- Establish systematic processes for planning and executing supply chain activities, including RFPs, supplier qualification, material planning, and executive reviews.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- MBA preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Over 10 years of experience managing supply chains for new product introductions.
- Proven experience in leading teams of five or more individuals.
- Strong understanding of bottoms-up and should-cost modeling.
- Familiarity with CapEx budgeting and accounting principles.
- Proficient in negotiating supplier contracts, including supply and service agreements.
- Ability to influence design for manufacturability and cost efficiency.
- Experience in sourcing raw materials effectively.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and global influence, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
This is a full-time, onsite position. The compensation package includes equity and benefits.
