Position Overview:
We are in search of a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect who possesses a robust strategic and documentation orientation to become a vital member of our Infrastructure Team. In this capacity, you will steer the development and refinement of our cloud solutions, guaranteeing their security and effectiveness through strategic foresight, thorough documentation, and collaborative management. Your contributions will influence the strategic trajectory and documentation methodologies of our cloud infrastructure, bolstering our engineering and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate and propel the strategic vision for our AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring it aligns with organizational objectives and technical specifications.
  • Engage with leadership and technical teams to delineate long-term cloud architecture and infrastructure strategies.
  • Collaborate with the security team to establish and document cloud security policies, compliance mandates, and best practices.
  • Devise strategic plans to address security vulnerabilities and compliance challenges, including FedRAMP and other pertinent standards.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and audits to confirm our cloud infrastructure meets security and compliance standards.
  • Generate and maintain comprehensive documentation for cloud infrastructure, encompassing architecture blueprints, deployment methodologies, security protocols, and operational guidelines.
  • Develop and oversee a detailed knowledge base that aids the engineering and operations teams in comprehending and managing the cloud infrastructure.
  • Act as a conduit between development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless system integration and adherence to infrastructure protocols.
  • Lead and partake in cross-functional discussions to address infrastructure requirements, challenges, and solutions.
  • Identify and champion process enhancements to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our cloud infrastructure management and documentation practices.
  • Remain updated on industry trends and best practices to propose innovative solutions and enhancements.
  • Provide strategic direction and training to team members on cloud infrastructure, security practices, and documentation standards.
  • Assist in the creation of training materials to elevate team knowledge and capabilities.
Qualifications:
  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of experience in cloud consulting, emphasizing AWS infrastructure, security, and documentation.
  • Profound understanding of AWS services, cloud networking, and security practices.
  • Strong preference for prior compliance experience.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) and deployment automation tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, AWS CDK, and Helm is advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and sustain detailed technical documentation.
  • Strong strategic thinking and planning capabilities with a focus on aligning cloud infrastructure with business objectives.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven enthusiasm for process enhancement and documentation excellence.
