Overview:
The Senior Security Solutions Architect is tasked with the design, execution, and upkeep of our security framework while crafting, evaluating, and steering information security strategies across various business sectors. This role collaborates with diverse stakeholders and teams throughout the organization to integrate security measures into business and technology workflows. Responsibilities include overseeing threat modeling for products and services, identifying and mitigating risks associated with both externally sourced and internally developed software, and partnering with development teams to enforce secure software development methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, research, and architect a robust security framework for enterprise technology systems, ensuring alignment with business goals and requirements.
  • Establish security requirements (both functional and non-functional) that resonate with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess, design, and document enterprise security solutions.
  • Contribute to the formulation of security standards, reference architectures, and guidelines to maintain a consistent security posture.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of security controls (including data protection, identity and access management, and incident response) and drive the implementation of necessary controls and remediation strategies.
  • Investigate and advocate for innovative technologies, architectures, and security products to advance the organization's security maturity roadmap.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in security design, configurations, and technical standards.
  • Stay updated on emerging security practices and standards.
  • Respond to and analyze security incidents, providing comprehensive post-event evaluations.
  • Validate security systems through the creation and execution of test scripts.
  • Conduct regular security assessments, monitoring, and implement enhancements to ensure a robust security posture.
  • Work with senior leadership to define security requirements, effectively communicate findings, and evaluate security risks.
  • Enhance the capabilities of the Security team in delivering solutions and addressing technical inquiries.
  • Make financially responsible, accountable, and justifiable business decisions in accordance with organizational policies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in designing and constructing enterprise-level security architecture.
  • Proficiency in cloud security architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS).
  • Experience with advanced security technologies (e.g., SIEM, CASB, DLP).
  • Expertise in integrating security throughout the software development lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of secure architecture principles and security device management.
  • Experience in managing network attacks, phishing, spam, encryption, and logging analysis.
  • Proficiency in securing APIs to prevent unauthorized access.
  • Experience in designing architectural reference materials.
  • Experience in incident response planning and execution.
  • Experience in security testing methodologies (e.g., scanning, penetration testing).
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ISO27001/2, NIST, COBIT) and regulatory standards (SOX, PCI, GDPR).
  • Experience in conducting security risk assessments and business continuity planning.
  • Experience in technology rationalization and strategy development within cybersecurity.
  • Ability to identify security vulnerabilities and recommend remediation strategies.
  • Experience in building test environments to simulate security scenarios.
  • Knowledge of securing cloud containers and serverless architectures.
  • Experience with Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) and Identity Governance.
  • Experience in implementing Zero Trust security principles.
  • Awareness of current cybersecurity threats and defense strategies.
  • Knowledge of data protection techniques and best practices.
  • Understanding of IAM, access control models, and authentication methods.
  • Familiarity with application security, including secure coding practices and vulnerability assessments.
  • Knowledge of encryption algorithms and data protection practices.
Required Certifications:
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
  • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM).
  • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in mentoring and leading security teams.
  • Experience in managing security budgets.
  • Proficiency in Python and other scripting languages.
  • Knowledge of emerging security threats.
