This role oversees the comprehensive accounting, cost management, accounts payable, payroll, and treasury operations of the organization, ensuring precise processing and oversight of all financial transactions while generating insightful and timely financial reports and analyses to aid in strategic decision-making.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Guarantee the punctual and precise preparation of all financial statements and statistical data for distribution to management, the Board of Directors, creditors, and shareholders on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Supervise the accounting and payroll teams and systems consistently.
  • Oversee the inventory and cost accounting processes to ensure accurate cost of sales and inventory valuations.
  • Manage the monthly reconciliation of key accounts and coordinate the preparation of year-end audit documentation.
  • Direct the accounts payable operations to ensure that vendor disbursements align with management criteria and established protocols. Ensure compliance with tax regulations regarding the filing of Form 1099 for applicable vendors.
  • Oversee payroll operations to ensure that systems and procedures function efficiently, delivering accurate and timely wage payments to employees.
  • Responsible for utilizing UKG payroll software for filing all payroll-related reports in compliance with governmental regulations, including federal and state quarterly and annual tax returns and employee W-2 statements.
  • Manage treasury operations to ensure accurate and timely control of cash, checks, and ACH transactions.
  • Engage with all management levels to provide clarity on accounting information, analyses, reports, or procedures.
  • Facilitate training, employee development, and effective utilization of all personnel.
  • Participate in the selection and implementation of new systems that impact Accounting/General Ledger.
  • Engage in special projects and analyses as requested by the VP of Finance and Treasurer and Executive Team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of five years of accounting experience encompassing financial statement presentation, financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting controls.
  • 3+ years of public accounting experience, with active/inactive CPA.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller, including oversight of Accounts Payable.
  • Experience supervising payroll for a large employee base is essential.
  • Familiarity with UKG software is preferred.
  • Experience in Cost Accounting and NetSuite software is advantageous.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years public accounting experience, with active/inactive CPA.
  • 3 years of supervisory experience as an Accounting Manager or Controller, including supervision of Accounts Payable.
  • Payroll supervision experience with a large employee base is required.
  • UKG software experience is desired.
  • Cost Accounting and NetSuite software experience is desired.
