Job Overview

The Financial Operations Manager is responsible for delivering precise, data-driven insights and presentations regarding the organization's financial status.

This position involves conducting thorough research, analyzing, and preparing the company's financial data, including but not limited to budgets, forecasts, pricing strategies, and financial control measures to facilitate informed decision-making and monitor fiscal trends.

The Financial Operations Manager will also enhance the company's financial reporting frameworks.

60% Reporting & Analysis

Conducts regular and ad hoc reporting and analysis at the consolidated organizational level.

Collects, compiles, and summarizes analyses, providing insights and recommendations that assist in evaluating current and future financial performance.

Utilizes variance analysis to identify and communicate trends, enabling the organization to adapt to evolving circumstances.

Collaborates with all levels to gather, review, analyze, and consolidate financial information for reporting purposes.

Assists in formulating budgets and forecasts, including projections for assets and liabilities, revenue, and expenditures.

Continuously tracks actual performance against budgeted and forecasted figures, alerting leadership to any trends or observations that necessitate action.

Identifies opportunities for automation and technical enhancements, making recommendations for improvements and collaborating with cross-functional teams for implementation as necessary.

Supports both tactical and strategic initiatives for reporting, data warehousing, and profitability analysis.

Maintains and updates financial models to accommodate changes, leveraging automation wherever feasible.

Enhances budgeting and financial modeling tools.

25% Procurement Support

Leads negotiations for contracts, in conjunction with legal as appropriate, to secure favorable pricing and optimal contractual terms with suppliers.

Develops, implements, and sustains purchasing strategies aligned with global profit and loss objectives, driving execution to achieve business goals.

Evaluates various proposals from vendors and contractors, conducting cost and value analyses, and making informed recommendations.

Collaborates with a cross-functional team (including functional, technical, legal, financial, and business area experts) to assess and develop business requirements, proposals, and requests for proposals (RFXs).

15% People Management

Establishes goals and determines the most effective strategies to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.

Attracts, retains, selects, and promotes high-caliber talent to fulfill the organization's goals.

Communicates, supervises, and directs relevant staff, ensuring that leadership guidelines are established to effectively manage the function.
