Role Summary:

The System Administrator, also referred to as Analyst, Information Workplace Services, plays a crucial role in supporting dynamic and critical programs that handle classified information systems. Your success will hinge on your ability to design, implement, and sustain secure and cost-effective environments across various classified initiatives. Collaboration with program teams is essential to define computing needs and develop comprehensive solutions for intricate IT infrastructure challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer IT systems within a diverse Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux framework.
  • Possess a solid understanding of Windows Server internals or Linux fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and server replication methods.
  • Contribute as a team member in a fast-paced technological setting, employing troubleshooting strategies to resolve technical issues of moderate to high complexity, including hardware and operating system integration.
  • Understand data RAID configurations, backup technologies, and install software applications as requested by users.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity experts to uphold security protocols. Provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and other assigned tasks.
  • Achieve Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within six months of employment.
  • Be prepared for operational demands that may extend beyond standard working hours.
  • Travel may be required based on business needs, with an estimated frequency of 10%.
  • Onsite Position: This role requires employees to work onsite 100% of the time.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree is typically required; if no degree, a minimum of four years of relevant experience is necessary.
  • A current, active, and transferable U.S. government-issued secret security clearance is mandatory prior to employment. U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.
  • Proficiency in Windows operating systems is essential.
  • Experience with Active Directory, VMware, administration, backup, and recovery processes is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux systems.
  • Possession of Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
  • Familiarity with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF standards.
  • Experience with data storage solutions, including NAS and SAN technologies.
  • Knowledge of Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience with VMware vCenter, vSphere, and ESX or other virtualization methods.
  • Support experience for engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Proficiency in scripting.

Compensation:
