About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal System Administrator to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our IT infrastructure team, you will be responsible for leading and collaborating with a diverse team to support fast-paced, critical programs with classified information system capabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows and Redhat Enterprise Linux environment.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs.
  • Collaborate with program teams to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.
  • Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements and provide documentation and training on advanced IT processes and procedures.
  • Lead/mentoring experience required.
Requirements
  • Typically, Bachelor's degree and 5 years of experience or 9 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • In-depth working experience in RedHat Linux environments.
  • Experience with some but not limited to, the following technologies: Linux/RHEL administration, Active Directory, WSUS, VMware, administration and networking administration experience, Windows administration, and recovery enterprise suites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • An active DoD Top Secret.
  • Direct working experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS and/or DoD/RMF.
  • Experience with data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies and solutions.
  • Experience with using Information Technology project lifecycle management processes.
  • Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development.
  • Experience with Microsoft WSUS, SCCM, and/or Exchange.
  • High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.
  • Scripting Experience.
