Job Title: Strategic Vice President, Technology Research Practice

At National Research Group, we are seeking a seasoned professional to lead our Technology Research Practice. As a Strategic Vice President, you will be responsible for driving business growth, expanding our research capabilities, and delivering exceptional client experiences.

About the Role

We are looking for a strategic and innovative leader who can help us stay ahead of the curve in the technology research space. If you have a strong background in consumer research and/or B2B research, or in an analyst/strategy role at a technology company, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee a wide range of team members and initiatives across the full client lifecycle, from establishing relationships with new clients to leading client pitches, developing proposals, and consulting on strategic research projects.
  • Bring your intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, and storytelling ability to lead research initiatives that help answer important strategic questions for our technology clients.
  • Pursue new business opportunities, drive the sales process through proposal development, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Develop, maintain, and deepen strong relationships with clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are met through our research offerings.
  • Create innovative research solutions for technology research, leveraging our assets as well as third-party providers, that will set us apart and drive business growth.
Requirements
  • 8+ years' experience working in consumer research and/or B2B research, or in an analyst/strategy role at a technology company.
  • B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Expert-level understanding and experience with a range of complex qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
  • Proven experience nurturing and building relationships with clients, confidently providing strategic guidance to them.
  • Business Development mindset, with a strong ability to drive new business opportunities.
  • Leadership skills, with the ability to lead and develop a team.
  • Curiosity and critical thinking, with a strong ability to solve complicated questions using creative and collaborative tactics.
  • Expert data analysis techniques, including statistical significance testing, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis techniques, and conjoint and discrete choice analysis.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft a story around data insights and clearly communicate key points in a succinct, impactful manner.
  • Great oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with clients and team members.
