The Senior Vice President of Community Banking is tasked with fostering new business connections for Huntington Bancshares, Inc., while also nurturing and enhancing existing partnerships. This role involves delivering strategic insights and support to business proprietors. The target market includes enterprises with annual revenues ranging from $2 million to $50 million and credit needs up to $25 million. This senior-level sales position within Community Banking emphasizes engagement with businesses exceeding $25 million in sales and serves as a key support to the Market Manager, providing credit and mentorship to junior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develops new, lucrative business relationships through proactive networking, prospecting, and offering valuable insights and advice.
- Establishes and sustains a strong network of local market Centers of Influence (COIs), both internally and externally.
- Evaluates, structures, and finalizes complex loan transactions within Community Banking.
- Maintains and verifies the creditworthiness of clients, ensuring thorough documentation is gathered and reviewed.
- Manages a portfolio of existing business clients, providing strategic insights and fostering deeper relationships.
- Engages actively with internal partners to enhance existing relationships and deliver comprehensive banking solutions.
- Oversees Portfolio Management, including conducting quarterly reviews and ensuring all necessary documentation is collected.
- Collaborates with the Huntington Loan Center and Commercial Loan Servicing to guarantee the accuracy and completeness of credit packages.
- Represents Huntington within the community by participating in business and community events.
- Works collaboratively within a team environment, partnering closely with internal stakeholders to provide tailored customer solutions.
- Mentors junior colleagues on complex credit matters.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Basic:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (10 years in Business Banking/Commercial lending).
- 10+ years of experience in Business Banking/Commercial Banking.
Preferred:
- Extensive knowledge of complex commercial credits with over 10 years of experience in Business Banking or Commercial sales.
