The Business Analyst will be responsible for daily customer interactions within the Turnaround & HSE Excellence team. This role is crucial in supporting the Refining business strategy, operational processes, and essential applications. The selected candidate will collaborate with Refining Product Owners to gather and ensure that business requirements are addressed with suitable technical solutions. The ideal candidate must exhibit a customer-centric approach, an agile mindset, outstanding communication skills, and a proven technical ability to tackle business technology challenges. We seek self-motivated individuals who can quickly adapt and work on specific technical tasks with minimal oversight. Responsibilities and compensation for Business Analyst positions vary based on the individual’s experience and capabilities, as well as alignment with the Refining and Midstream business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the Refining business to implement solutions that drive value creation.
  • Working alongside the Refining business to develop and advance strategic digital and capability roadmaps.
  • Engaging with customers to comprehend business processes, resolve issues, and implement enabling solutions in an agile manner.
  • Participating in project teams to ensure alignment of IT solutions with business requirements and IT policies.
  • Building partnerships centered on customer needs by leveraging strong interpersonal skills.
  • Managing ongoing changes across processes and systems proactively.
  • Communicating scheduled changes and unexpected outages promptly to large customer groups.
  • Prioritizing and managing application requests with business value as a key metric.
  • Collaborating with other Phillips 66 IT teams to ensure quality application support and delivery.
  • Following budget management, contract negotiation, and software renewal processes diligently while focusing on customer communication, cost reduction, and application optimization.
  • Making decisions based on factual and data-driven insights.
  • Ensuring operational excellence of key Refining systems around the clock.
  • Maintaining compliance of systems and processes with IT policies.
  • Managing vendor relationships.
  • Escalating issues as necessary.
Required Qualifications:
  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country.
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Two or more years of IT experience.
  • Previous experience working with vendors to implement solutions or provide oversight.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Phillips 66 Refining and Midstream operations.
  • General knowledge of IT policies.
  • Able to lead and guide others towards achieving desired outcomes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment focused on results.
  • Self-driven and results-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Planning and organizational skills to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Capability to present ideas and influence stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
  • Prepared to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC).
