Who We Are Seeking

We are in search of a Refined Products Market Analyst responsible for developing and enhancing price forecasting visualization tools, calculating and issuing transfer prices, and collaborating with stakeholders to validate price implementation. In this role, the incumbent will serve as the primary source for forecasts related to refined products, crude oil, chemicals, and freight, essential for the Global Optimizer team and Affiliates Affairs organization.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Continuously evaluating transfer price implementation.
  • Possessing substantial prior experience in the downstream oil & gas sector, with exposure to market studies, model development, and outlook projections.
  • Demonstrating proven ability to develop and maintain complex models and conduct analytical and statistical exercises.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Commerce, Marketing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
  • Post-graduate education or equivalent experience in MBA/Statistics/Economics is preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of model development and proficiency in Excel functions.
  • Solid understanding of downstream business operations and supply chain dynamics.
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience (preferably in the oil & gas downstream sector), including several years in data analytics, market research, corporate planning, and business development.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance effective price forecasting visualization tools.
  • Consult with the Pricing Insights and Market Analysis team and Account Executives to gather information on global events impacting the energy/oil & gas market and prevailing market trends.
  • Collect data from forward curves of all crude and products, market premium or discount values, freight costs, and other elements of Transfer Prices.
  • Calculate transfer prices daily for M to M+3, in accordance with the planning cycle.
  • Coordinate with Account Executives and market insights for the review and validation of prices to be issued.
  • Provide weekly price forecasts to Account Executives to ensure timely identification of opportunities, estimate uplift margins, and serve as a basis for negotiations among stakeholders.
  • Issue actual transfer prices on the last day of M-1 for M, allowing for timely review.
  • Conduct periodic assessments of TP forecasting quality and identify trends.
  • Perform random checks and assist in quality assurance of implemented prices on standard and non-standard cargoes.
Job Benefits
  • Monthly Base Salary – aligned with company employees with similar qualifications.
  • Monthly Overbase – 25% of your monthly base salary.
  • Benefits Supplement – 20% of your monthly base salary, increasing to 25% after 3 years of service, 30% after 6 years, and 35% after 12 years.
  • Severance Package (2-year vesting period) – from year 2 to 5: 2 weeks' pay for each year of service; Year 6+: 4 weeks' pay for each year thereafter.
  • Employment Tax – if the employee opts to separate from their 'home country' for income tax purposes, most will not be required to pay 'home country' income taxes; the company will not report income to 'home country' governments. Please consult your tax advisor for specifics.
  • Employee Share Purchase Plan (ESPP) (eligible after 12 months of service) – maximum purchase equal to 10% of monthly base pay with a cap, 20% share discount.
  • Incentive Plan – annual; based on performance, approximately 1.8 times monthly base salary.
  • Travel Allowance – annual; approximately $8,200 per household member aged 11+ residing in Saudi Arabia and $6,000 per household member under 11 years old.
  • Vacation & Paid Holidays – 38 vacation days, 4 travel days, and 11-13 paid holidays.
  • Medical/Dental Plan – complimentary in-Kingdom medical care/facilities for employees and eligible family members. In-Kingdom dental services are subsidized.
  • Educational Assistance Plan (EAP) – Out of Kingdom Assistance: 90% of expenses with a maximum per child, lesser of 5 times monthly base salary or the company maximum ($48.5K), plus 3 round-trip economy air travel tickets; undergraduate college-age children receive 2 round-trip economy air travel tickets; In Kingdom Assistance: 2 times monthly base salary or the company maximum ($16.3K).
  • Settling in Allowance – one-time payment; Family Status - 100% of monthly base salary; Single/Bachelor Status – 60% of monthly base salary.
