BUSINESS ANALYST



Fort Point, LLC is seeking a dedicated Business Analyst to play a pivotal role in our telecommunications sector. This position involves collaborating with managers across various business units to develop and sustain essential documentation such as the Schedule of Value, Statement of Work, and Item Master records. These documents are crucial for bidding and awarding materials, as well as engineering and construction service contracts. The Business Analyst will concentrate on establishing and executing item master records and SOVs to drive cost efficiency, enhance cost reduction strategies, and standardize bidding and contracting processes. Additionally, this role will support process enhancement initiatives across all business lines.



Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate processes to guarantee standardization, consistency, and accurate cost accounting across all business sectors.
  • Oversee the management of National Schedules of Value (SOV) and Statements of Work (SOW) documentation for all operational lines.
  • Refine SOV processes and formats to align with Supply Chain strategic goals, including negotiating volume discounts and minimizing service expenditures.
  • Handle change requests for all SOVs and SOWs on a national scale, facilitating cross-functional discussions and securing necessary approvals.
  • Ensure that new SOV and SOWs are aligned with Job Costing and IT systems, tracking updates until successful implementation.
  • Create, manage, and retire Item Master numbers within our ERP systems.
  • Integrate and synchronize processes and documentation across all business lines to uncover additional volume discount opportunities and enhance financial reporting.
  • Support the execution of Supply Chain projects aimed at achieving company objectives.


Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is preferred.


Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of five (5) years in services management, construction management, project management, or a related field.


Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of Small Cell, Fiber, and/or Tower operations.
  • Proficient in extracting relevant data sets from systems for reporting purposes.
  • Ability to meet project deadlines while effectively managing resources.
  • Experience in executing process improvement initiatives and project management.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards and Oracle systems.
  • Knowledge of VBA is an advantage.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Exceptional customer service capabilities.
  • Willingness to accommodate a travel requirement of up to 10%.
