Business Development Officer

City National Bank is seeking a highly skilled Small Business Banker to join our team. As a Small Business Banker, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive financial solutions to small businesses with annual revenues from $250k to $5 million.
Key Responsibilities- Meet the needs and expectations of customers by servicing, promoting, and selling the Bank's products and services, increasing deposits and fee income, reducing expenses, maintaining and expanding superior client relations, and consistently meeting or exceeding assigned individual or team sales goals.
- Services all customer account needs, including accepting deposits, cashing checks, processing withdrawals, selling travelers checks, and cashier checks, as well as accepting loan payments.
- Coordinates with the Bank Manager in preparing required reports and performs other functions as required for the sound operations of the bank.
- Cross-trained in all paying, receiving, and collection functions, including cash handling, and accurately processes transactions, adheres to strict security measures, and balances procedures.
- May provide loan support functions in certain offices and assists the underwriting officer or Bank Manager in obtaining complete information on the loan request and communicates with customers as needed.
- 2-4 years of recent banking experience in a Small Business Banker I, role or greater.
- Formerly credit trained, completed levels 1 & 2.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of 250 clients.
- Demonstrated ability to source new business from existing clients, including growing deposits within client portfolio (including SBA loans).
- Demonstrated ability to source and close commercial credit opportunities.
- Consistently achieves relationship banking activities, including weekly call goal.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with partners (TMO, Mortgage Bankers, Wealth Management).
- Ability to work on a pre-screen independently and complete a cash flow independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, or Economics.
