Position Overview

The selected candidate will be instrumental in managing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining accuracy. The ideal individual will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and a dedication to providing exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and execute month-end and year-end closing processes, including bookkeeping, reconciliations, accruals, adjustments, and preparation of financial statements for assigned clients.
  • Review and guide monthly bookkeeping and financial statements prepared by team members, fostering their professional development.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including tax and audit, to ensure timely and accurate reporting.
  • Provide fractional CFO/Controller services as required.
  • Conduct monthly and/or quarterly financial advisory meetings with clients.
  • Assist in the development of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support senior management in special projects and initiatives as necessary.
  • Utilize and adapt to software applications to meet client needs.
  • Participate in industry meetings and marketing efforts.
  • Mentor and train the Client Accounting Services team.
  • Hold monthly meetings with direct reports to assess billable budgets versus actuals, realization, and objectives.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA designation is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
  • Strong grasp of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with QuickBooks Online is advantageous.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire a team.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and integrity in handling sensitive financial information.
  • Adaptability to change and a willingness to embrace new technologies and methodologies.
