Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Lead Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in assisting the finance team with the daily financial operations. This position is integral to the finance management team, collaborating to ensure effective management of financial functions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining compliance with accounting policies and procedures, as well as supporting the overall financial strategy of the organization. The Lead Financial Analyst is responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting.

Main Duties:
  • Conducts monthly financial close processes and prepares management reports and analyses.
  • Facilitates annual audits and compiles necessary documentation.
  • Prepares financial reports for grants and assists in financial management tracking.
  • Submits weekly and monthly reports to relevant stakeholders promptly.
  • Oversees reconciliation of bank and credit card transactions on a weekly basis.
  • Maintains organized accounting and financial records.
  • Ensures adherence to internal policies and external regulations regarding financial activities.
  • Files necessary regulatory documents, including tax withholdings.
  • Identifies areas for improvement in financial processes and policies.
  • Supports the budgeting process, including trend analysis.
  • Conducts training for new hires on accounting policies and expense reporting systems.
  • Manages primary accounting functions including cash disbursements and accounts receivable.
  • Resolves discrepancies in payables and receivables.
  • Collaborates with staff to provide timely financial information and exemplifies ethical standards.
  • Coordinates payroll activities, ensuring accurate processing and compliance.
  • Serves as the primary contact for grant-related financial matters.
  • Works with finance and operations teams to enhance financial processes.
  • Ensures compliance with governmental requests for information.
  • Documents financial procedures and maintains comprehensive records.
  • Utilizes technology to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency.
  • Participates in finance committee meetings and other relevant discussions.
  • Engages in ongoing professional development to stay informed of industry best practices.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field is required.
  • Three to five years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proactive and collaborative team player.
  • Commitment to the mission and standards of HR Partners.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for meetings.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Proficiency in financial software such as Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Five or more years of accounting experience preferred.
  • Experience with grant management.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and cost accounting principles.
  • Leadership abilities and understanding of diverse populations.
  • Quickbooks Certification.
Physical Demands:
  • Ability to maintain a stationary position and relocate as needed for meetings.
  • Capacity to read computer screens and operate peripherals for extended periods.
  • Regular communication with staff and stakeholders in various formats.
Work Environment:
  • Professional office setting with a focus on deadlines and collaboration.
