We are seeking a highly skilled Auditor to join our team at the Kansas Department for Children and Families. As an Auditor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our financial and operational processes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct financial and performance audits to assess the effectiveness and accuracy of our financial and operational records.
- Examine work processes and financial records to identify areas for improvement and implement recommendations.
- Work independently on assignments and lead projects as needed.
- Collaborate with the Audit Manager and other team members to develop and implement audit plans.
- Provide sound professional conclusions and judgments based on education, skills, and training.
- Two years of experience in examining work processes, financial and operational records, and controls.
- Education in accounting, auditing, business administration, or economics may be substituted for experience.
- Preferred education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
- Preferred certification: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or related auditing and accounting credentials.
- Competitive salary: $43,950.40 per year.
