In partnership with a leading private equity firm over the past three years, Atlantic Partners Corporation has invested significantly in enhancing its operations, facilities, technology, and leadership. Recent initiatives include a major expansion of its primary distribution center and the implementation of enterprise-level ERP, WMS, and OMS systems.

The organization is now looking to bolster its technical leadership with a Director of Technology Operations as it continues to scale both organically and through an aggressive acquisition strategy.

Position Overview

The Director of Technology Operations will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for guiding the evolution of our hybrid cloud environment. This role entails creating a vision and strategic direction for integrating eight distinct businesses into a cohesive architecture. Key areas of oversight will encompass infrastructure, networking, identity management, security, and help desk operations. The immediate focus will be on networking and identity management, presenting an opportunity to lead a transformative infrastructure initiative, build a skilled team, and establish a secure, efficient, and scalable technology foundation for a dynamic eCommerce organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and business presidents on strategic technical operational initiatives that align with the three-year business strategy.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts, transitioning from monolithic platforms to cutting-edge systems.
  • Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Design, implement, and manage our hybrid cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and cloud services.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, demonstrating strong expertise in Cisco technologies (firewalls, switches, wireless) within distributed environments, including advanced routing.
  • Exhibit deep proficiency in core infrastructure services (compute, networking, storage, etc.), architecture, and optimization.
  • Administer MS 365 and Google Workspace.
  • Manage Active Directory in hybrid, cloud, or on-premise environments.
  • Implement identity management solutions using Azure with SSO.
  • Supervise daily operations of our technology infrastructure, providing guidance and escalation support to the team.
  • Drive budgeting, vendor management, and infrastructure roadmap development in alignment with business objectives.
  • Plan and execute cloud migration projects, ensuring efficient and secure transitions of data and workloads.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and emerging technologies, aligning them with business needs.
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments to identify optimization opportunities and areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and security operations partner to ensure infrastructure designs incorporate security principles and comply with regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years in a senior technology operations role, with a proven track record of managing and leading development teams.
  • Extensive subject matter expertise in Microsoft cloud architecture and strategy.
  • CISCO certifications are strongly recommended; experience with Juniper networks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Entra ID and Intune.
  • In-depth knowledge of Veeam and Azure Backup solutions for backup and disaster recovery.
  • Extensive experience with VMware vSphere and VMware VSAN for virtualization.
  • Familiarity with Dell PowerVault ME5 Arrays and AWS QNAP for storage solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of PFSense and OpenVPN for secure remote access.
  • Proven experience in hybrid cloud environments, networking, and identity management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
