In collaboration with a premier private equity firm, the company has invested significantly in enhancing its operations, facilities, technology, and leadership. Recent initiatives include a major expansion of its primary distribution center and the implementation of enterprise-level ERP, WMS, and OMS systems.

To further strengthen its technical leadership, Atlantic Partners Corporation is seeking a Head of Technology Operations as the business continues to grow organically and through an aggressive acquisition strategy.

Position Overview

The Head of Technology Operations will report directly to the CTO and will be responsible for leading the transformation of our hybrid cloud environment. This role will establish the vision and strategic direction for integrating eight distinct businesses into a cohesive architecture. Key areas of responsibility will encompass infrastructure, networking, identity management, security, and help desk operations. The immediate focus will be on networking and identity management, providing an opportunity to spearhead an infrastructure transformation, build a skilled team, and play a pivotal role in delivering a secure, efficient, and scalable technology framework for a dynamic eCommerce organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and business presidents on strategic technical operational initiatives aligned with the three-year business strategy.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts, transitioning from monolithic platforms to state-of-the-art systems.
  • Mentor and develop team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
  • Design, implement, and manage our hybrid cloud environment, ensuring seamless integration between on-premises systems and cloud services.
  • Oversee network infrastructure, leveraging strong Cisco expertise in distributed environments, including advanced routing.
  • Demonstrate deep proficiency in core infrastructure services, architecture, and optimization.
  • Manage MS 365 and Google Workspace administration.
  • Oversee Active Directory, whether hybrid, cloud-based, or on-premises.
  • Implement identity management solutions using Azure with SSO.
  • Guide daily operations of our technology infrastructure, providing support and escalation as needed.
  • Drive budgeting, vendor management, and infrastructure roadmap development to support business objectives.
  • Plan and execute cloud migration projects, ensuring secure and efficient transitions of data and workloads.
  • Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and emerging technologies that align with business needs.
  • Conduct infrastructure assessments to identify optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the CTO and security operations partner to ensure infrastructure designs incorporate security principles and comply with requirements.

Qualifications

  • Preferred bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field; master's degree preferred.
  • 7+ years in a senior technology operations role, with a proven track record of managing and leading development teams.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft cloud architecture and strategy.
  • CISCO certifications are strongly recommended; experience with Juniper networks is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Entra ID and Intune.
  • In-depth knowledge of Veeam and Azure Backup solutions for backup and disaster recovery.
  • Extensive experience with VMware vSphere and VMware VSAN for virtualization.
  • Familiarity with Dell PowerVault ME5 Arrays and AWS QNAP for storage solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of PFSense and OpenVPN for secure remote access.
  • Proven experience in hybrid cloud environments, networking, and identity management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
