Key Responsibilities

The primary role of the Respiratory Therapist involves assessing, treating, and managing patients with respiratory or cardiopulmonary conditions.

  • Deliver respiratory care in accordance with physician directives and established protocols.
  • Engage in the formulation and execution of patient care strategies.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant federal, state, and local regulations and accepted practices.
  • Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and healthcare team members through effective communication.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on therapy methods and objectives.
  • Maintain accurate and legible patient documentation.
