Role Responsibilities

Lead Respiratory Therapist - Night Shift Role

We are in search of a Lead CRT/RRT Respiratory Therapist to ensure our patients receive exceptional, efficient care. In this role, you will assess the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement tailored Respiratory Care Plans. We pride ourselves on our collaborative environment and are looking for a dedicated individual who shares our commitment to patient care.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating and managing acute care ventilators for both short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Demonstrating self-direction in your work.
  • Maintaining accurate departmental and hospital records, ensuring all information is correctly entered into the hospital's systems.
  • Setting up and administering a range of routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures for patients of all ages.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you should possess:

  • A degree from an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred).
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist, with critical care and intubation experience preferred.
  • A clear and active Florida license as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required; new hires must obtain this within 6 months of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required; new hires must obtain this within 6 months of employment.
