Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a full-time Registered Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team, ensuring that we continue to deliver high-quality, efficient care to all patients.
As a Registered Respiratory Therapist, you will assess the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement tailored Respiratory Care Plans.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Administering and operating acute care ventilators for both short and long-term mechanical ventilation.
- Demonstrating self-direction in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
- Maintaining accurate department and hospital records, entering precise information into the hospital's computer system for the therapies administered.
- Performing procedures with care and empathy for our patients.
Requirements:
- Current Florida Registered Respiratory Therapist licensure.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications must be obtained within six months of hire.
- Graduation from a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC).
- Ability to frequently stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and move equipment.
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision are essential.
- Capability to work in a high-pressure environment and respond appropriately in volatile situations.
- Strong customer service skills, including effective listening abilities.
