Position Overview: Technical Sales Engineer - West

Role Summary:

As a Technical Sales Engineer, you will provide comprehensive sales and technical assistance for the Sterile Transfer division within Getinge's North America Life Science sector. Your expertise in our products and marketing strategies will be crucial in achieving business objectives and expanding market presence.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving sales growth and profit margins for the Sterile Transfer segment.
  • Conducting both in-person and remote sales efforts across the U.S. and Canada, targeting OEMs, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology clients.
  • Identifying and engaging with existing and prospective customers to enhance market share.
  • Collaborating with sales and business analysts to devise effective strategies for account management.
  • Reviewing and responding to Sterile Transfer RFQs, ensuring accurate project scope definition and quotation drafting.
  • Supporting the Life Science Sales teams through joint calls, site visits, and technical consultations.
  • Monitoring account plans and providing timely updates and reports.
  • Utilizing company-provided tools for customer relationship management and internal operations.
  • Communicating product value propositions effectively with both internal teams and clients.
  • Gathering market insights to inform R&D and innovation initiatives.
  • Maintaining professional relationships with customers and adhering to Getinge's Code of Conduct.
  • Participating in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Attending industry conferences and trade shows as required.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in strategic selling of capital equipment and consumables.
  • Proficiency in preparing and presenting RFPs and RFQs.
  • Familiarity with biopharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Strong mechanical understanding related to aseptic transfer.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% within the U.S. and Canada.

Education and Experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech sectors.
  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering or applied sciences is preferred.
