Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineering Team Manager to join our Corporate Business Unit. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of sales engineers, creating processes and collateral to support cross-functional stakeholders, and driving business growth through strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage a high-performing team of sales engineers who thoroughly understand our technology and can effectively communicate its value to customers.
  • Process Development: Create and refine processes to eliminate bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and drive business growth.
  • Collateral Development: Develop and maintain collateral to support sales engineers and stakeholders, ensuring seamless customer interactions.
  • Training and Development: Play an active role in training sales engineers on new features, processes, and collateral, ensuring they reach their full potential.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer success, support, product management, and engineering teams to drive business growth and execute strategic initiatives.

Qualifications
  • 7-10 years of relevant sales engineering experience, including 2+ years of experience managing high-performing sales engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a customer-facing team, with strong people management, mentoring, coaching, and development experience.
  • Proven track record of building trust with team members and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • High level of business acumen and understanding of how revenue leaders think.
  • Experience with sales technology, cloud architecture, or telephony/web conferencing systems.
  • Experience with application data flows, AI/ML concepts, analytics, APIs, JSON, and webhooks.
  • Understanding of security and privacy pertaining to SaaS systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
  • Passion for technology and problem-solving.

The target OTE for this position is $200,000-$220,000 USD. Compensation is based on factors unique to each candidate, including job-related skills, qualification, education, experience, and location. At Gong, we have a location-based compensation structure, which means there may be a different range for candidates in other locations. The total compensation package for this position, in addition to base compensation, may include incentive compensation, bonus, equity, and benefits. Some of our sales compensation programs also offer the potential to achieve above-targeted earnings for those who exceed their sales targets.
