Job Summary

Veolia Environnement SA is seeking a highly skilled Electro-Mechanical Asset Manager to lead the development, implementation, and sustainment of our asset management program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for promoting a culture of safe work practices, ensuring the reliability, redundancy, and readiness of critical assets, and optimizing the life cycle cost of our assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement an effective risk mitigation program to optimize the life cycle cost of assets and improve equipment reliability.
  • Establish a culture of continuous improvement by providing guidance and leadership in workforce and asset management.
  • Collaborate with the production department to identify and implement asset management optimization in alignment with our business strategy.
  • Determine predictive strategies to monitor equipment deterioration, prevent failures, and reduce impact on operation and maintenance cost.
  • Optimize inventory management by implementing industrial best practices and reducing inventory costs based on risks.
  • Manage projects and provide support to implement effective industrial best-in-class methods.
  • Prepare annual expense operating plans and review budget reports to ensure budgetary compliance.
  • Manage and review maintenance training and safety compliance records to ensure supervisors schedule appropriate and adequate training.
  • Provide recommendations, support, and feedback to the Engineering Department for above-ground capital projects.
  • Submit requests for capital expenditure authorizations and ensure the Maintenance Department meets planned capital expenses and performance targets.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators agreed upon with asset stakeholders and identify and implement changes to policy and practices based on results obtained.
  • Conduct routine staff meetings to demonstrate achievement of best practice Key Performance Indicators.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer through the development of subordinates and ensures appropriate training for staff.
  • Implement strict maintenance practices to ensure the highest possible level of health and safety.
  • Provide expertise for the development or improvement of the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM Infor).
  • Assist other departments in the performance of related projects by providing the use of department manpower or machinery as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory maintenance requirements for TCPA, DPCC, DOT, OSHA, and other related regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED is required.
  • 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory role in the electro-mechanical field.
  • Effective interpersonal and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Ability to deal effectively with all levels of staff, management, and organized labor groups.
  • Proficient with planning, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Knowledge of water utility operations, maintenance, and construction practices.
  • Ability for emergency stand-by.
  • Well-versed in best practices in environmental, health, and safety.
  • Familiarity with PLC programming and instrumentation.
  • Familiarity with high voltage equipment.
  • Knowledge of Maintenance Management planning.
  • Extensive knowledge and experience in the maintenance of pumps, motors, and hydraulically operated equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience in the operation and maintenance of water treatment chemical application equipment.
  • Working knowledge of typical machine shop skills.
  • Ability to read complex operations and financial reports.
  • Write detailed reports and prepare and deliver presentations.
  • Analyze complex operational and technical challenges and resolve same.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Technical certification(s) in related disciplines and/or college degree in Engineering.
