Compensation:
The annual salary for this position ranges from $100,000 to $115,000.

Position Summary:

The selected candidate will be tasked with the development, implementation, and maintenance of the asset management program. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of asset management and collaboration between operations and engineering teams. The manager will oversee the electro-mechanical workforce and contractors to ensure the reliability and readiness of critical assets, thereby ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of safe drinking water. A strong emphasis on promoting safe work practices is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement an effective risk mitigation strategy to enhance asset lifecycle cost efficiency and equipment reliability.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement through leadership in workforce and asset management.
  • Collaborate with production teams to identify and execute asset management optimizations aligned with business objectives.
  • Establish predictive maintenance strategies to monitor equipment performance and prevent operational disruptions.
  • Enhance inventory management practices to minimize costs while maintaining risk awareness.
  • Lead projects and provide support for the adoption of industry-leading maintenance methodologies.
  • Prepare and manage the annual maintenance budget, ensuring compliance with financial targets.
  • Conduct regular reviews of budget reports to maintain fiscal responsibility.
  • Oversee maintenance training and safety compliance, ensuring adequate training for all supervisors.
  • Advise the Engineering Department on capital projects and maintain performance metrics.
  • Develop and track key performance indicators in alignment with stakeholder objectives.
  • Facilitate routine staff meetings to review performance against established KPIs.
  • Ensure knowledge transfer and appropriate training for team members.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Implement rigorous maintenance practices to uphold health and safety standards.
  • Provide expertise in the development or enhancement of the Enterprise Asset Management System (EAM Infor).
  • Assist other departments with project-related manpower or machinery as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to all regulatory maintenance standards.
  • Participate in emergency duty rotations and address operational issues as they arise.
  • Stay informed on advancements in the electro-mechanical maintenance field and recommend updates to existing equipment.
Qualifications:

Education and Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED is required, along with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity within the electro-mechanical sector.

Skills and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities (both written and verbal), proficiency in MS Office Suite (especially Excel), and the capability to engage with all levels of staff and management are essential. Knowledge of water utility operations, maintenance practices, and emergency preparedness is also required.

Certifications:
Technical certifications in relevant fields and/or a college degree in Engineering are preferred.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves walking on uneven terrain, climbing, and the ability to sit for extended periods while using a computer. Clear vision and hearing are necessary, along with the ability to communicate effectively.
