Role Summary:
As an integral member of the Infrastructure Mechanic team, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, executing repairs, and conducting preventive maintenance on various machinery and mechanical systems. Your role will encompass the upkeep of essential equipment and facilities that support utilities, including boilers, ammonia systems, and compressed air systems. Adherence to safety protocols and compliance with company policies is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct emergency and scheduled repairs on infrastructure equipment during production cycles.
  • Prepare machinery for upcoming production schedules.
  • Execute repairs utilizing established mechanical practices and methodologies.
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting and repairs on machinery support systems.
  • Interpret equipment manuals and work orders to carry out necessary maintenance tasks.
  • Develop proficiency in welding techniques, including ARC, TIG, and MIG.
  • Carry out electrical troubleshooting in accordance with safety standards.
  • Demonstrate competency in operating boiler and steam systems.
  • Safely manage ammonia systems and condensing units.
  • Possess a general understanding of HVAC/R systems.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities and procedures.
  • Provide support and guidance to facility personnel.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations relevant to maintenance tasks.
  • Competence in following detailed instructions and applying common sense to problem-solving.
  • Basic computer skills necessary for job functions.
  • Physical capability to stand, walk, and lift items up to 25 pounds regularly.
  • Willingness to work in varying outdoor conditions.
  • Understanding of machinery design, operation, and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of heat transfer processes and chemical treatment of water.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in machine operation.
