Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement business and operations plans for the facilities department.
  • Oversee the daily operations of facilities, ensuring safe and efficient operations, and compliance with state and federal laws, accreditation, and regulatory agency standards.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures to ensure smooth operation of facilities and plant operations.
  • Manage budget, labor, variance reports, supply cost management, and resource allocation.
  • Lead cross-functional process improvement, collaborative teamwork, open communication, and problem-solving to ensure effective coordination and integration of services.
  • Facilitate and manage Emergency Operations Center (EOC) meetings, participate in routine EOC rounds, and collaborate with major stakeholders to achieve optimal operating conditions.
  • Coordinate and oversee renovations, modifications, and new construction projects, working with engineers and architects to solve mechanical and building system deficiencies.
  • Provide space planning options and alternatives on drawings and floor plans, and recommend utilizing available space to meet business needs.
  • Manage productivity through work order volume, completion rates, resolve barriers to completion, and assign staff to support.
  • Lead Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) projects, performance monitoring, team development, process optimization, and benchmarking.
  • Hold huddles and meetings with staff to maintain engagement and productivity, develop employees to meet ever-changing competencies, and coordinate educational opportunities and in-service education for staff.
  • Manage contracts for preventative maintenance of critical utilities and facility operations, hold vendors accountable for high reliability, safety, and scope of work.
  • Oversee Clinical Engineering, including contract compliance, quality, accounting, and budget, and develop policies and procedures for BioMed/Clinical Engineering.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma/GED - minimum education required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 3-5 years preferred experience working in building and facility operations.
  • 2 years minimum required leading and managing people, including selecting, developing, motivating, and retaining people.
  • 2 years preferred working in building and facility operations in a healthcare setting.
