Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee engineering operations at our facility. This role involves managing production processes, machinery, and packaging while driving operational excellence throughout our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of manufacturing process development, assembly, testing procedures, tool design, and fabrication.
  • Ensure timely and precise completion of project tasks through effective resource coordination and adherence to company policies.
  • Lead initiatives for process improvement, setup reduction, and the creation of visual standard work to achieve cost reduction and productivity goals.
  • Facilitate Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen activities to align with company objectives.
  • Evaluate engineering requests for development work, ensuring feasibility and prioritizing workloads accordingly.
  • Collaborate with various departments to minimize manufacturing costs for new or revised products.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, ensuring expenses align with budgetary constraints.
  • Manage the selection and justification of capital equipment necessary for operations.
  • Support new product introductions for all internally manufactured components, actively participating in cross-functional teams.
  • Provide guidance and direction to assigned personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and work rules.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of five years of manufacturing engineering experience, particularly in CNC machining, is required. While supervisory experience is preferred, candidates with substantial CNC machine shop expertise without management experience will also be considered.

Experience should encompass a strong understanding of LEAN/Continuous Improvement methodologies, production processes, quality control, and cost management. Candidates should have at least three years of experience in a metal machine shop environment, ideally within the aerospace sector, with exposure to steel and aluminum castings.

Please note that this facility operates under ITAR regulations, and U.S. Persons are required for this position.
