Position Summary: We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Manager to oversee engineering functions at our client’s facility. This is a full-time, salaried position with a competitive salary range of $130K - $140K, along with performance bonuses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all facets of manufacturing process development, including assembly, testing, tool design, and Statistical Process Control.
  • Ensure timely completion of project tasks through effective resource coordination and adherence to company policies.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvement, setup reduction, and the creation of visual standard work to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Lead Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen activities to align with organizational goals.
  • Evaluate engineering requests for development work, ensuring feasibility and prioritizing workload effectively.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize manufacturing costs for new or revised products.
  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, monitoring expenses to remain within budgetary constraints.
  • Oversee the selection and justification of capital equipment for operational needs.
  • Support new product introductions for all internally manufactured components, participating actively in Integrated Product Team (IPT) activities.
  • Provide guidance and direction to all assigned personnel, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering or a related field. A minimum of five years of manufacturing engineering experience, particularly in CNC machining, is required. While supervisory experience is preferred, candidates with substantial CNC machine shop expertise without direct management experience will also be considered.

Additional qualifications include:

  • At least three years of experience in a metal machine shop environment, ideally within the aerospace sector, with exposure to steel and aluminum castings.
  • Strong knowledge of LEAN/Continuous Improvement methodologies, production processes, quality control, and cost management.
  • This position is within an aerospace ITAR facility, thus U.S. Persons are required.
