A leading Medical Device organization is seeking an Engineering Operations Manager to enhance their team. This company is recognized for its pioneering work in the development of diagnostic tools utilized by healthcare professionals to evaluate and monitor the electrical functions of the nervous system.

The Engineering Operations Manager will oversee a dedicated team of engineering professionals and technicians tasked with diagnosing and rectifying electronic circuit challenges or product failures. Additionally, this role will involve managing the introduction of new products, validating product designs and functionalities, and guiding the selection, documentation, and qualification of electronic components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians focused on sustaining engineering efforts.
  • Direct the investigation and resolution of electronic circuit challenges and product failures with precision. Implement thorough root-cause analysis and corrective actions to ensure ongoing product reliability.
  • Oversee the systematic approach to the selection, documentation, and qualification of electronic components.
  • Ensure compliance with rigorous quality and performance standards. Address component obsolescence by identifying suitable alternatives from different suppliers.
  • Manage the introduction of new products, ensuring the team verifies product functionality, designs, and develops assembly and testing fixtures, as well as automated testing software.
  • Provide specialized engineering support to manufacturing and service teams. Facilitate failure analysis and ensure a smooth transition of designs into production. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of effective testing procedures.
  • Engage in comprehensive verification and testing of both new and existing projects. Collaborate closely with operations engineering to enhance product quality and performance.
  • Contribute to hardware design and software development initiatives as necessary to support sustaining engineering activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 7+ years of experience in a managerial role.
  • 3+ years of expertise in analog and digital circuit design and troubleshooting.
  • 3+ years of experience in electronics manufacturing.
