Position Overview:

The Head of Strategic Partnerships is tasked with spearheading and coordinating all initiatives related to business growth and marketing efforts aimed at ensuring the expansion of the facility, the development of services, and enhancing member engagement. This role focuses on fostering relationships with physicians and other critical referral sources to cultivate a positive reputation for the facility on local, regional, and national levels.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute business development strategies aligned with the facility's overarching strategic objectives to secure a competitive edge that drives revenue and profitability.
  • Lead a dedicated team through recruitment, onboarding, performance evaluation, motivation, training, scheduling, and coaching to achieve departmental goals and ensure operational efficiency.
  • Participate in crafting and executing monthly, seasonal, and annual initiatives to boost client intake and assess outcomes accordingly.
  • Maintain an up-to-date database of primary accounts, including businesses, EAPs, managed care clients, and healthcare professionals, and provide weekly updates to leadership.
  • Establish and nurture new account relationships and market opportunities, devising innovative strategies to enhance business in competitive environments.
  • Build and sustain strong connections with key referral sources, maintaining professional relationships with physicians, clinicians, community organizations, insurance companies, and other service providers.
  • Conduct community outreach through workshops, seminars, and facility tours to educate potential clients and referral sources about available programs and services.
  • Keep detailed records of business development referrals and admissions, preparing regular reports that highlight trends and identify new opportunities for growth.
  • Represent the facility at community and professional events, effectively communicating the mission and values of the organization.
  • Collaborate closely with discharge planners, social workers, case managers, and medical professionals to enhance referral generation.
  • Work in partnership with admissions/intake teams to ensure a streamlined process for client admissions from referral sources.
  • Analyze market utilization data to inform decision-making and strategy development for service lines.
  • Evaluate demographic data to understand client population trends and needs.
  • Complete monthly and quarterly reporting for business development initiatives.
  • Contribute to the annual Strategic Plan in collaboration with facility staff and regional leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, marketing, business administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of relevant experience in healthcare business development and marketing, ideally within the behavioral health or chemical dependency sectors.
  • Strong understanding of the local market and referral landscape.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain referral sources.
  • Knowledge of psychiatric and chemical dependency treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and access to reliable transportation as required.
