Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the accounting operations of the dealership, ensuring the production of timely financial reports and the maintenance of accurate accounting records.
  • Develop and uphold a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.
  • Supervise accounting personnel and manage all aspects of the general ledger and financial statements.
  • Collaborate with the General Manager to optimize the dealership's financial performance.
  • Establish benchmarks to evaluate operational performance.
  • Ensure compliance with dealership policies and internal control measures.
  • Proactively manage and protect company assets.
  • Effectively manage expenses and vendor relationships.
  • Prepare required daily, weekly, and monthly reports for management.
  • Work closely with management to analyze data and prepare necessary reports and analyses.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting or business administration, or equivalent experience as a Dealership Controller (3+ years preferred).
  • Strong experience with CDK DMS is essential.
  • A self-motivated, goal-oriented individual with a positive presence in a team setting, capable of leading and influencing others.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to problem-solve and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Proven experience in building cohesive teams.
  • A consistent and stable work history.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • A professional appearance and strong work ethic.
  • All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment testing, including background checks and drug screenings.
