We seek dedicated technicians who are enthusiastic, positive, and committed to delivering exceptional service. Ideal candidates will possess a strong problem-solving mindset and a genuine passion for customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the service department to allocate tasks to technicians.
- Oversee individual technician workloads and manage overall workflow within the service area.
- Guide technicians in meeting internal training requirements and assist them in preparing for certifications.
- Provide training and mentorship to new technicians.
- Assist fellow technicians in diagnosing and repairing vehicles as needed.
- Conduct performance evaluations to monitor career development and technician performance.
- Organize team-building activities for technicians.
- Educate the technician team on maintaining brand and quality standards to address customer concerns effectively.
- Manage inventory of shop supplies and equipment.
- Monitor fluid levels and shop efficiency through technician hours reports.
- Oversee subscriptions for diagnostic tools.
- Distribute housekeeping responsibilities among technicians to uphold safety and cleanliness standards.
- Manage technician work schedules.
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations.
- Collaborate with the service department to communicate customer concerns and assist in resolving complaints.
Qualifications:
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.
- Exceptional automotive diagnostic capabilities.
- Significant investment in personal tools.
- Ability to achieve a minimum of 30 billable hours per week, depending on shop requirements.
- ASE A1-A8 Certifications are mandatory; Master L1 certification is preferred.
- Proficient in diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
- Consistently meet or exceed hourly performance goals.
- Aptitude for acquiring new skills and processes.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Desire for long-term career advancement.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasionally lift and/or move items weighing over 50 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles elevated above head level.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces as required by vehicle repairs.
- Dexterity to effectively use hand tools.
- Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the workday.
- Proficient in driving manual transmission vehicles.
- Skilled in navigating computer systems efficiently.
