Job Summary

The Commercial Sales Consultant is responsible for selling alarm systems and other surveillance equipment to businesses and commercial entities to monitor security at a commercial level. This role requires a strong understanding of products, services, and pricing, as well as excellent sales and negotiation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prospect for new business opportunities and identify potential customers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Design and price protective systems in accordance with customer needs and company pricing guidelines.
  • Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals to customers, highlighting the benefits and features of Guardian Alarm's products and services.
  • Process contracts, paperwork, and other work orders in accordance with company procedures.
  • Perform credit checks and obtain approval prior to contract execution.
  • Provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries and problems.
  • Assist in the collection of customer unpaid installation balances.
  • Manage leads in the database and update as necessary.
  • Coordinate sales activities with operations supervisors and assist with installation and service questions.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 3-5 years of business-to-business sales experience required; security industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent sales and negotiation skills.
  • Thorough understanding of products to be sold.
  • Organized with an attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with clients.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient with CRM software.
