Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sales Representative to join our team at Guardian Alarm. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for selling security systems to commercial clients and building strong relationships with our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect for new business opportunities and identify potential customers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to increase sales and retention
  • Conduct site surveys to identify security needs and design protective systems
  • Prepare and present sales presentations and proposals to customers
  • Negotiate contract terms and clauses and prepare final contracts for signature
  • Process contracts, paperwork, and other work orders in accordance with approved procedures
  • Perform credit checks and obtain approvals prior to contract signing
  • Provide timely resolutions to customer inquiries and problems
  • Assist in collection of unpaid installation balances
  • Manage leads in the database and update as needed
  • Coordinate sales activities with operations supervisors and assist with installation and service questions
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standards and new equipment and services available within Guardian
  • Follow up with customers after installation to ensure satisfaction

Requirements

  • Commercial sales experience, preferably in security sales
  • Cold-calling and prospecting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Some college education in Business Administration or related field

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with security systems and alarm technology
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
  • Ability to speak as a security expert and representative of Guardian Alarm
