Position Overview

The Commercial Security Sales Specialist is responsible for marketing alarm systems and surveillance solutions to commercial clients, ensuring robust security measures are in place. This role involves crafting proposals, conducting meetings, and finalizing sales agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Understand the range of products, services, pricing structures, and the esteemed reputation of Guardian Alarm.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
  • Enhance the positive perception of Guardian Alarm by engaging with local law enforcement crime prevention units and serving as a liaison.
  • Represent Guardian Alarm as a security authority at various business networking groups and community organizations.
  • Participate in Guardian-sponsored events to generate leads for potential sales.
  • Engage in ongoing sales training and meetings organized by Guardian.
  • Assess customer needs based on financial capacity and potential challenges.
  • Conduct thorough evaluations of premises to identify security vulnerabilities.
  • Design tailored security systems that meet client specifications and align with pricing guidelines.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, highlighting the advantages of our offerings compared to competitors.
  • Follow up with prospects to negotiate contract terms and finalize agreements.
  • Handle all necessary paperwork and contracts in accordance with established protocols.
  • Perform credit assessments prior to contract approval.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly.
  • Assist in the collection of outstanding installation fees from clients.
  • Maintain and update lead information in the database.
  • Coordinate with operations supervisors to address installation and service inquiries related to sold systems.
  • Stay informed about industry standards, regulatory requirements, and new product offerings from Guardian.
  • Conduct post-installation follow-ups to ensure customer satisfaction.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong sales and negotiation expertise.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the products being sold.
  • Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and sustain client relationships.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and related software.
  • Experienced with CRM systems.
Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Some college education or relevant work experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of business-to-business sales experience is required.
  • Experience in the security industry is preferred.
