Child Welfare Case Coordinator

NiteLines USA, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Case Manager to support our mission in providing essential services.
This role involves working with the Department of Family and Children Services (DFCS) in Cherokee County. The position is on a PRN basis, with a focus on managing cases related to child and adult welfare.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Case Manager, you will be responsible for comprehensive case management and investigative services for a caseload involving allegations of abuse or neglect. Your duties will include:
- Responding promptly to reports of alleged maltreatment and conducting thorough assessments to identify safety concerns.
- Developing and implementing immediate safety plans to address identified risks.
- Conducting diligent searches to locate families when initial contact is unsuccessful.
- Utilizing Solution Based Casework (SBC) methodologies.
- Collaborating with families to create and utilize the Family Functioning Agreement and Action Plans to achieve desired outcomes.
- Completing genograms to map family support networks.
- Partnering with community organizations to establish support systems for families.
- Ensuring regular and meaningful visits with families to promote safety and well-being.
- Identifying and addressing the physical, educational, and mental health needs of clients.
- Setting permanency goals for children in care.
- Ensuring stability in foster care placements that align with the best interests of the children.
- Making efforts to achieve timely permanency for children in accordance with relevant regulations.
- Facilitating sibling placements in foster care whenever possible.
- Maintaining connections for children with their communities, families, and friends.
- Encouraging positive relationships between children and their biological parents through supportive interactions.
- Documenting case management activities in compliance with established policies.
- Celebrating achievements with families and children.
- Utilizing a personal vehicle for work-related travel, including transportation of clients.
- Participating in after-hours on-call duties as required.
- Engaging in continuous professional development and learning opportunities.
This position primarily involves office work, although documentation may be completed remotely as long as it is submitted promptly. The workload will focus on assisting children and families in Cherokee County and nearby areas.
COMPENSATION: $33.50 per hour
Mileage reimbursement is provided.
