We are a collaborative network comprising child therapists, psychiatrists, PMHNPs, case managers, school personnel, community partners, and other mental health professionals, all working towards a shared mission. Role Responsibilities

The Mental Health Prevention Specialist is responsible for delivering supportive interventions, consultations, and behavioral health prevention groups for children and adolescents, as well as their families, within various service programs throughout the community. This role requires a commitment to maintaining high-quality services to maximize benefits for program participants. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication skills, enjoy assisting others, and demonstrate organization, energy, innovation, and enthusiasm. A family-oriented advocacy approach is essential, along with the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team. A dedication to fostering resilience and creating supportive environments is expected.

Key Duties:

  • Deliver supportive interventions for children and adolescents.
  • Implement strength-based resilience and skill-building curricula tailored to specific populations in diverse programs and educational settings.
  • Provide consultation and behavioral intervention services upon request.
  • Organize and facilitate parent-child events to enhance social and emotional development and educate parents on behavior management and resilience.
  • Conduct guardian consultations to strengthen family involvement.
  • Maintain accurate service delivery records and ensure timely completion of documentation.
  • Promote an environment that encourages resilience and positive social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
  • Participate in collaborative team meetings aimed at fostering positive community change.
  • Engage in continuing education opportunities to obtain and maintain relevant licensure.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and refer clients to community services as necessary.
  • Advocate for children, adolescents, their families, and childcare providers.
  • Engage in professional supervision and training activities.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills and work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrate cultural competence and a willingness to work with diverse populations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for commuting to assignments.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of college education in Child Development, Education, Psychology, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree with licensure is preferred, along with at least two years of experience working with children and/or adolescents.

Location: Multiple locations available in the community.

Compensation: Based on licensure status, education, and experience.

Hours: Part-time positions available, with hours typically falling between 3:00-6:00 PM, Monday through Thursday, and additional hours during school breaks.
