ManTech is seeking a Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to contribute to our mission-critical operations. The ISSO plays a vital role in supporting the United States Air Force's 53rd Wing Technical Support Services contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Prepare, review, and update security authorization packages.
  • Ensure that established procedures are followed for the sanitization and destruction of hardware and media.
  • Inform the ISSM of any changes that may impact the security authorization of information systems.
  • Conduct regular reviews of information systems to verify compliance with security authorization requirements.
  • Coordinate any modifications to hardware, software, or firmware with the ISSM and Authorizing Official (AO) prior to implementation.
  • Oversee system recovery processes to ensure that security features are restored and functioning correctly.
  • Maintain current and accessible security documentation for authorized personnel.
  • Collect, review, and document audit records, including any anomalies.
  • Participate in necessary technical and security training relevant to assigned duties.
  • Conduct self-inspections regarding cybersecurity, including security coordination and review of system assessment plans.
  • Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities and assist in implementing countermeasures.
  • Prepare reports detailing the status of security measures applied to computer systems.
  • Perform ISSO duties in support of both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct security impact analysis for all configuration management changes within authorization boundaries.

Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in information security.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution; 2 additional years of experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Active DoD M IAT-II certification.
  • Familiarity with DoD/USAF information security policies and practical experience applying Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • Experience in developing and contributing to RMF evidence and associated control families.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, management, and clients, including the ability to deliver presentations.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with SCI Eligibility.
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program Information.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement within the office environment to access files and equipment.
  • Frequent operation of office machinery and computers.
  • Regular communication with team members and clients, requiring the exchange of accurate information.
