ManTech is seeking a Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) to support critical operations. The primary role of the ISSO is to provide essential assistance to the United States Air Force's technical support initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in fulfilling their responsibilities.
  • Develop, review, and maintain security authorization documentation.
  • Ensure that established protocols for the sanitization and destruction of hardware and media are followed.
  • Inform the ISSM of any changes that may impact the security authorization of the information systems.
  • Conduct regular assessments of information systems to verify compliance with security standards.
  • Coordinate with the ISSM and Authorizing Official (AO) regarding any modifications to system components.
  • Oversee system recovery processes to ensure that security measures are effectively reinstated.
  • Maintain up-to-date security documentation accessible to authorized personnel.
  • Collect and analyze audit logs, documenting any irregularities.
  • Participate in mandatory technical and security training relevant to assigned tasks.
  • Conduct cybersecurity self-assessments and provide security oversight for system evaluations.
  • Identify vulnerabilities in cybersecurity and assist in implementing appropriate countermeasures.
  • Generate reports detailing the status of security measures in place for information systems.
  • Fulfill ISSO responsibilities for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Perform security impact assessments for all configuration management changes.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in information security.
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited institution, with the possibility of substituting 2 years of experience for the degree.
  • Possession of an active DoD M IAT-II certification.
  • Familiarity with DoD/USAF information security policies and hands-on experience with Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes.
  • Experience in creating and contributing to RMF documentation and associated security controls.
  • Strong communication skills for effective interaction with colleagues, management, and clients.

Security Clearance Requirements:

  • Current Top-Secret Clearance with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI).
  • Eligibility for access to Special Access Program information.
  • Willingness to undergo a Counterintelligence polygraph examination.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for extended periods.
  • Occasional movement within the office environment.
  • Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
  • Regular communication with team members and stakeholders.
