Position Overview:

As a Senior Cybersecurity Analyst, you will transform technology into opportunities at General Dynamics Information Technology. This role is pivotal in enhancing and connecting the systems that are crucial for operational efficiency. You will be at the forefront of innovation, contributing significantly to the improvement of agency operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to establish, create, and uphold documentation for the certification and authorization of systems, ensuring compliance with established requirements.
  • Oversee system vulnerabilities in alignment with security mandates, utilizing NIST continuous monitoring standards and Risk Management Framework (RMF) critical security controls.
  • Identify and evaluate specific urgent vulnerabilities, guided by insights from team members in cyber intelligence, engineering, or operations, and propose targeted remediation strategies.
  • Analyze vulnerability data and assist in prioritizing remediation efforts based on risk management standards.
  • Comprehend vulnerabilities, their implications, mitigation strategies, and effectively communicate this understanding to various stakeholders.
  • Update and formulate security standards and templates as necessary to comply with new regulatory and audit requirements.
  • Enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of vulnerability management practices across the organization.
  • Leverage and refine existing vulnerability management frameworks and policies to align with industry best practices.
  • Coordinate the collection of data and documentation to support audits and examinations.
  • Collaborate with solution vendors to identify and implement potential security solutions.
  • Research, develop, implement, and review information security measures to safeguard information and prevent unauthorized access.
  • Gather information to maintain security and establish effective external barriers, such as firewalls and other protective measures.
  • Assess and review systems to identify potential security weaknesses, recommend enhancements, implement changes, and document upgrades.

Qualifications for Success:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3+ years of experience (additional years of experience may substitute for degree).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Server 2016/2019 or newer, including Active Directory, Radius, DNS, and Group Policy.
  • Familiarity with virtual environments (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Experience with Trellix ENS (formerly McAfee Endpoint Security) and Tenable Security Center (ACAS) scans.
  • Knowledge of SQL server maintenance and operation.
  • Experienced in applying patches, updates, and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
  • Must possess and maintain a minimum of IAT level II certification as per DoD directive.
  • Security Clearance Level: Secret.
  • Location: On Customer Site.
  • US Citizenship Required.
