Key Responsibilities:


In this role, you will operate under general supervision to drive the sales of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit solutions to key decision-makers, including Facility Directors and executives.

Your mission will be to effectively communicate the value proposition of our Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit services to building owners and end users, providing tailored business and technical solutions.

You will establish and nurture long-term customer relationships within your designated accounts and opportunities.

Collaborating with local sales teams, project engineers, and project leaders, you will work to convert leads into contracts and maximize the breadth of JCI's product and service offerings to enhance our market presence.

Utilizing a structured sales process, you will focus on cultivating and managing enduring relationships while identifying, qualifying, and closing new sales opportunities in the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit sector.


How You Will Achieve Success:

  • Engage in persuasive and confident sales of Johnson Controls' Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit offerings to building owners at the executive level, ensuring optimal profitability within your assigned accounts.
  • Meet and exceed assigned revenue targets for annual Prime Retrofit sales while achieving designated margin goals.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with decision-makers to facilitate the sale of our Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit solutions.
  • Address and align with customers' operational and environmental goals, recommending solutions that connect their objectives to our comprehensive value proposition.
  • Foster a mentorship relationship with an Account Executive within your branch to support their professional growth in Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit sales.
  • Collaborate across various domains to identify and secure Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit opportunities.
  • Focus on performance-based agreements in the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit sector.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience in Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in executive-level sales within the Design/Build Mechanical Retrofit field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the HVAC industry.
  • Proven experience in selling advanced analytics and integrated digital solutions.
  • A strong commitment to integrity and quality in business practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to influence key market stakeholders effectively.
  • Proficiency in operating within designated vertical market segments.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Suite Applications and various reporting tools, including financial and market share systems (Word, Excel, Access, Teams, PowerPoint, Power BI, and SharePoint).

Compensation:
Salary range of $55K-$70K annually, complemented by target incentive earnings. The salary will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market alignment.
