Human Resources Coordinator

Hamdan Resources, LLC is a progressive and expanding government contracting organization. We are currently in search of a committed HR Assistant to enhance our HR division. This position provides a unique opportunity to acquire essential experience in HR operations and support within a collaborative and dynamic setting.
Position Overview:
As an HR Assistant, you will be an integral part of our developing HR team. This role is well-suited for individuals with 1-2 years of administrative experience or recent graduates eager to advance their HR expertise. You will collaborate closely with a small team, gaining insights into various HR functions such as benefits administration, compliance, policy development, training, compensation, performance evaluation, and the specific needs of government contracting. This is an excellent chance to gain practical experience across multiple HR areas and contribute to our team's achievements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, including preparation of offer letters, conducting background checks, managing new hire documentation, and organizing orientation schedules.
- Maintain and update employee records, including personnel files, I-9 documentation, and HRIS entries.
- Assist in reconciling benefit invoices.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing employee engagement.
- Compile and manage various reports and data as required.
- Respond to requests for employment verification, unemployment claims, and security investigations.
- Collect, track, and analyze HR metrics, providing reports and strategic plans.
- Assist with payroll reviews, manage garnishments, update pay rates, and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Support benefits administration tasks, including processing enrollments and addressing employee inquiries.
- Oversee time-card processing, ensuring timely and accurate submissions from employees.
- Assist in the performance review process.
- Stay informed about organizational and departmental policies and procedures.
- Process employee identification badges and ensure proper distribution.
- Handle incoming correspondence and inquiries to the HR department, escalating issues as necessary.
- Uphold confidentiality regarding all HR-related information.
- 1-2 years of experience in an office environment, preferably in HR or administrative support.
- Basic knowledge of payroll systems and benefits administration.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with effective task prioritization.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information with care.
