Hamdan Resources, LLC is seeking a skilled HR Generalist to join their team. This role offers the opportunity for professional growth and flexibility in a dynamic and growing government contracting firm based in Vienna, VA.
Key Responsibilities- Support HR functions and ensure the smooth operation of all human resources processes.
- Assist in development of HR programs related to benefits administration, new hire orientation, compensation, performance management, employee relations, and investigations.
- Handle employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Director.
- Ensure compliance with relevant HR laws and regulations, including but not limited to AAP, FMLA, ADA, and EEOC requirements.
- Manage employee leaves to include FMLA, ADA.
- Conduct exit interviews and analysis.
- Provide excellent customer service to employees, addressing inquiries and concerns related to HR policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Assist with onboarding and orientation processes for new hires, ensuring a positive and informative experience.
- Support employees and program managers in day-to-day activities.
- Assist with compliance reporting.
- Maintain knowledge of organizational and departmental policies and procedures, and specific contract requirements such as Wage Determinations or Union Agreements.
- Utilize HRIS (UKG preferred) to maintain accurate employee records and generate reports as needed.
- Support learning and development initiatives, including training program coordination and employee skills development.
- Special projects as required, leveraging background HR knowledge.
- Identify and implement initiatives to deliver HR excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in HR, with specific experience in benefits administration, regulatory compliance, and policy development.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of HRIS systems; experience with UKG (or similar HR software) preferred.
- Understanding of HR laws and regulations, particularly within the government contracting industry.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
- Comfortable being on camera and in front of small groups.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all HR matters.
- HR Certification, preferred not required (PHR/SPHR, SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP).
