Position Overview

The Chief Human Resources Officer will strategize, guide, and oversee the policies, initiatives, and personnel of the Human Resources (HR) division, ensuring adherence to legal standards and the execution of the organization's mission and talent strategy.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new personnel within the department.
  • Supervises the daily operations of the HR division.
  • Provides timely and constructive performance assessments.
  • Manages disciplinary actions and terminations in line with company protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with executive leadership to align the organization's objectives and strategies regarding staffing, recruitment, and employee retention.
  • Plans, directs, develops, and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and assessments to support the organization's HR compliance and strategic needs.
  • Administers or oversees the administration of HR programs including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, leave management, disciplinary issues, conflict resolution, performance and talent management, employee recognition, workplace safety, and professional development.
  • Identifies staffing and recruitment requirements; formulates and executes best practices for hiring and talent management.
  • Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends, including reviewing reports and metrics from the HR information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
  • Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, recommending best practices; reviews and updates policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Stays informed of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in HR, talent management, and employment law; applies this knowledge to communicate policy, practice, and resource changes to senior management.
  • Implements innovative technologies to enhance HR processes and overall organizational efficiency.
  • Ensures compliance with Service Contract Agreements (SCA) and oversees related policies and procedures.
  • Leads and manages HR operations across multiple subsidiaries, ensuring consistency and alignment.
  • Develops and manages the departmental budget.
  • Facilitates professional development, training, and certification opportunities for HR staff.
  • Performs additional duties as required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in human resource management is required.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification is highly preferred.
