Principal Systems Engineer

As a Senior Systems Engineer at KIHOMAC, you will play a pivotal role in steering a diverse team within a collaborative framework. Your leadership will be essential in guiding both technical and programmatic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee a multi-disciplinary engineering team, ensuring effective collaboration and communication.
- Utilize your expertise in functional leadership to influence and mentor engineers, fostering their professional growth.
- Conduct and facilitate technical reviews and meetings, both internally and with external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Integrated Product Team (IPT) leaders to optimize project execution regarding cost, technical specifications, and timelines.
- Support business development efforts by identifying opportunities and contributing to technical proposals and cost estimations.
- Promote a culture of diversity, respect, and trust within the team.
- Identify necessary actions to ensure successful project completion.
- Perform additional duties as required.
Education:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline is mandatory.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in systems design and development.
- In-depth knowledge of the systems engineering lifecycle and the Department of Defense (DoD) design review protocols.
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
- Familiarity with various systems engineering tools, with a preference for Cameo.
- Strong grasp of simulation techniques applicable to systems analysis, such as discrete event simulation.
- Preferred background in the development and testing of aircraft or military components.
- Exceptional attention to detail is essential.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Eligibility to obtain a security clearance may be necessary.
