Senior Director of Alumni Relations

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Director of Alumni Relations to join our team at Stanford University. As a key member of the External Relations leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to engage and serve our 30,000+ alumni worldwide.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute a comprehensive alumni engagement strategy to connect alumni to each other and to the school.
- Lead a team of 15+ staff members to drive alumni relations initiatives, including Alumni Communities & Engagement, Alumni Strategic Outreach & Education, Diverse Alumni Communities, and Reunions & Special Events.
- Build and maintain relationships with alumni, faculty, and university partners to advance the mission of Stanford GSB.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement programs, events, and communications that engage and serve alumni.
- Develop and manage budgets, metrics, and evaluation plans to measure the effectiveness of alumni relations initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree and eight years of relevant experience or a combination of education and relevant experience.
- Valid California Non-commercial Class Driver's License.
- Ability to obtain a valid passport for international travel.
- Excellent management skills, including a track record of attracting, developing, motivating, and retaining professional staff.
- Strong track record as a relationship builder and collaborator.
- Experience in and responsibility for planning, executing, and evaluating programs designed to reach, serve, and engage university constituencies.
- Excellent strategic, organizational, and project management skills.
- Familiarity with Stanford University, Stanford GSB, and/or alumni relations.
- Advanced degree.
